A friend asked me if it makes me happier being a teacher. Funny, how my mind get stuck in the moment without knowing what to say, and instead, brushing the question off with a smile. I may have realized my dream a bit later than anybody else, but I figure I would never have realized them if not for the circumstances. Time is a friend. It helps you grow, and understand, and think. It sounds a bit melodramatic, but one time I was just reading, and then all of a sudden I wanted to know the things that I could do to make an impact on people's lives. Thoughts that send butterflies flying round the insides of my stomach! That kind of feeling, that kind of happy. And whenever I get tired, or pissed, I always go back to that time.

Everyday Look for Teachers (or not) :p

Okay, so, this isn't a beauty blog. BUT I'd like to write a post about this. He he! Being a girl, I believe that your lipstick color is really important, specially when your profession requires a LOT of talking, and by a lot - I mean a whole day of talking in front of so many wide-eyed students. You wouldn't want to wear dark or super red lip color that can distract students' attentions, and you wouldn't really want something pale that makes you look sick or wasted (ho ho). I read somewhere that if you're a teacher, you should wear light make-up just enough to give you fresh colors (bla bla). I think all they were trying to say was that 'magtira ka rin ng look para sa foundation day at graduation' hehe!

So there, being kuripot, I found the perfect lipstick shades for me that I can wear almost everyday (unless I get tired of them, of course). Introducing::::: drum roll xxxxx Sophie Paris' Caramel Sugar, V.I. Pink, and Mango Peach. Got them for only P 89.00 (if I'm not mistaken). What I love most is that they tint my lips, and can last for 4 hours or at least a meal, and even lots of water.

V.I Pink gives a super matte finish, while the other two are creamy matte (I think, sorry for the bad review!).

HINT: When you wear Caramel Sugar, (and maybe Mango Peach), make sure that you put on some blush on your cheeks. It gives you a no make-up look, which I think most students appreciate more (ONLY MY OPINION).

I don't know how to end posts like this, so yeah. Bye!

[insert title]

I've been meaning to write for quite some time, pero kapag may hawak na akong bolpen, nawawala na ang lahat.

"So, you're a nurse? Then, why teach?"

And I say. . . "why not?" :)

Love what you do and do it well.

Being a school teacher makes me realize my strengths and weaknesses, and own potentials. It brings out the best in me, and it still astounds me every single moment that I get to step over my limits specially at times when I think there is nothing more I could give. I don't express it too often pero each time na mare-realize ko na teacher na ko, kinikilig pa rin ako! Haha. Maybe this is what living your dream feels like :)

"if they can't learn the way you teach, teach them the way they learn"

S.Y 2014 - 2015 Grade 6 - St. Catherine
Someone told me di naman daw kelangan ng attachment kasi after 1yr di mo naman na sila makakasama. But you know, when you're there, di maiiwasan yun. One way or another, things will happen, and soon enough you'll realize that you already are part of this small community that they built. And that moment that you let yourself enter their world, the story begins. And they start to love you, and care for you the way they know how, even if you don't ask for it. So paanong mawawalan ng attachment? Hello! This is my first batch of kids, and surely, even after 30 yrs, I will still remember. Thank you, Catherines, for the really wonderful year and for making me a better teacher & person.
